The Navigator. A website that helps this newspaper go beyond the local community and reach out to the world.
The Navigator is a newspaper. Before I worked for the Navigator, they had been outsourcing the web designer & editor position. It had been one of the most difficult positions to fill. When they hired me, they entrusted me with the design of a completely new website. To ensure that my work would remain beneficial to the Navigator, I proposed to put together a manual of instructions that the next web editor could always refer to. The team was very pleased with the new website which was launched in September 2009.
I was also involved in the search of a qualified web editor who would take the position after I was gone.
